The Best Family Festival in the Country
Wow! MerleFest 2010 was great! This was a great 4-day event that I recommend everyone to attend at least once. This premiere festival showcases some of the best artists, young and old, in the country all in honor of Merle Watson and Doc Watson.
The attendance for total participation (fans, artists, volunteers, sponsors, everyone), was well over 76,500. Plenty of families had the opportunity to enjoy a rain free event, the first in a long time, and enjoy bands like Dierks Bentley, Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers, Elvis Costello, Rhonda Vincent and others.
The next MerleFest will be April 28, 29, 30, and May 1, 2011 for the 24th MerleFest!
Jefferson, Georgia native debuts #3 on iTunes Country Albums Chart
Average Joes Entertainment is pleased to announce the release of Brantley Gilbert’s sophomore album, Halfway To Heaven. Released on March 16, the album is currently #3 on iTunes Country Albums Chart.
The 12-track release features Gilbert as a co-writer on all the tracks along with writers Colt Ford, Dallas Davidson, Rhett Akins, Ben Hayslip, and Mike Dekle. Ford also appears as a featured guest on “Dirt Road Anthem.”
Upon hearing his album debuted at #3 Gilbert enthusiastically responded, "I'm in shock. Our band and everyone in our organization can be really proud of this album." Gilbert refers to his fans as his friends because, "I consider a friend someone who supports you and cares about you. The 'fans' that come to our shows are supporting us, and if they are buying the record to get to know me, then they care. Therefore, they are friends," Gilbert continues, "and I just hope my friends get to know me a little better with this album and know how appreciative I am of their support."Greenville, S.C. Treated by Allison Iraheta
Allison Iraheta is an American singer from Los Angeles, California. In the eighth season of American Idol, she just missed getting the title and came in fourth place. Still, a great accomplishment considering the talent she was competing against on the show.
Iraheta was signed to a record deal with 19 Entertainment and Jive Records after her solid performance on Idol. Her debut album Just Like You was released on December 1, 2009 and she's currently on tour. Mudvayne’s NEW VIDEO FOR SECOND SINGLE “BEAUTIFUL AND STRANGE” BANNED FOR EXPLICIT IMAGERYHailed for their musical prowess, hardcore riffs, and dominating stage show; Mudvayne continues to push the envelope with the video for their second single “Beautiful and Strange” off their self-titled album MUDVAYNE.
“Beautiful and Strange” is directed by Frankie Nasso (ALL THAT REMAINS, HATEBREED, EMMURE, BRIAN "HEAD" WELCH) and is the latest installment of three conceptually linked videos that were filmed to promote the band's self-titled album. “Scream With Me”, the first single off the album saw great success becoming #2 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Chart.
